Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer and songwriter for a number of years. Her mom raised her in the USA, where she faced several racial stereotypes, which made her feel like a non-person. Her confidence began to grow in the ninth grade after she took part in a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her singing. It not only boosted her confidence but also changed the direction in which she went on to pursue her career. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. She began her career at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. However her greatest breakthrough came when she played the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway performance of Spamalot winning not just her the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. Following that, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. Also, she is a well-known performer and has released an extended play. In her role as an activist, she works tirelessly in the cause of LGBT equality.
